Projeto de Reabilitação de Moradia, Torres Novas

O projeto de reformulação desta moradia numa pequena aldeia no município de Torres Novas chegou-nos como um grande desafio, onde o antigo e o novo teriam de dialogar de forma íntima e ponderada. Era também importante para o cliente manter aspetos da memória do uso da casa que era dos seus avós, como por exemplo o corredor interior na entrada.

A intervenção teve na sua génese transformar uma casa típica desta zona do ribatejo numa casa de família com espaços amplos e apontamentos de modernidade, mas mantendo as características tradicionais do edifício.

O projeto prevê, assim, a reformulação dos espaços interiores, criando uma zona ampla de sala e de cozinha, que se interligam no hall de distribuição, junto à entrada, com ligação íntima ao alpendre exterior existente. Nesta zona foram mantidos os tetos originais com vigamento em madeira, pintados integralmente de branco.

Na zona mais antiga da casa ficam os quartos e casas de banho, onde o corredor existente foi integrado no hall dos quartos.

Em toda a moradia será colocado pavimento em microcimento, a base que liga os vários espaços, e as carpintarias serão em madeira de carvalho, que oferece o toque quente e de conforto à casa.

House Rehabilitation Project, Torres Novas

The project to renovate this house in a small village in the municipality of Torres Novas presented us with a great challenge, where the old and the new had to interact intimately and thoughtfully. It was also important for the client to maintain aspects of the house’s history, which belonged to his grandparents, such as the internal corridor at the entrance.

The intervention’s genesis was to transform a typical house from this area of Ribatejo into a family home with spacious areas and touches of modernity, while maintaining the building’s traditional characteristics.

The project therefore involves the redesign of the interior spaces, creating a large living room and kitchen area that connects to the distribution hall near the entrance, with an intimate connection to the existing external porch. In this area, the original ceilings with wooden beams were maintained, painted entirely white.

In the older part of the house are the bedrooms and bathrooms, where the existing corridor was integrated into the bedroom hall.

Microcement flooring will be installed throughout the house, forming a base that connects the various spaces, and the woodwork will be made of oak, which offers a warm and comfortable feel to the home.
