Remodelação de Escritórios, Ovar

O projeto de remodelação dos escritórios da Valmet no centro urbano de Ovar apresentou-se como um desafio não só pela sua dimensão, mas também pela relação entre o edifício a manter e o programa a implementar.

Dos dois edifícios justapostos existentes, um antigo e outro mais recente anexo à fábrica, mantiveram-se apenas as paredes perimetrais e os muros estruturais que passaram a definir as várias áreas de trabalho. Nas zonas onde não existiam elementos estruturais vinculadores fizeram-se os espaços de trabalho em open space, a sala de exposição e o anfiteatro para pequenas palestras.

Em todo o projeto utilizaram-se as cores de marca da empresa, os verdes e cinzas, com as quais se conjugaram as madeiras de carvalho, de forma a trazer algum conforto ao espaço.

As maiores preocupações desta remodelação prenderam-se com a questão do isolamento sonoro em relação à linha de comboio e a reverberação do som nas zonas de open space, pelo que todos os materiais empregues nestes espaços, bem como as caixilharias, foram pensados no sentido de isolar e absorver ao máximo o som, tornando os escritórios mais aprazíveis.

Office Remodeling, Ovar

The remodeling project for Valmet’s offices in the urban center of Ovar presented a challenge not only due to its size but also due to the relationship between the building to be maintained and the program to implement.

Of the two existing juxtaposed buildings, the old and the more recent one attached to the factory, only the perimeter walls and structural walls were retained, defining the various work areas. In areas where there were no connecting structural elements, open-plan workspaces, an exhibition room, and an amphitheater for small lectures were created.

The company’s signature colors of green and gray were used throughout the project, combined with oak woodwork to bring a sense of comfort to the space.

The biggest concerns of this renovation were related to the issue of insulating from the sound of the train line and the reverberation in the open space areas, so all the materials used in these spaces, as well as the window frames, were designed to insolate and absorb sound as much as possible, making the offices more pleasant.
